This Week at WCR
October is Pastor/Elder Appreciation Month!
Drop a note in the basket at the Welcome Desk to let our pastors and elders know how much you appreciate them!
Our elders have been prayerfully reviewing the nominees submitted by our church body for the position of elder. We have two current elders who are eligible and willing to serve a second three-year term, along with three nominees who have been submitted to serve their first three-year term.
On Sunday, October 4, following our 11AM worship service, our church family will have the opportunity to vote on these five candidates. We ask that you please be in prayer for our elders, the candidates, and our church during this process.

The Harvest Table
Oct 10, 10am
An annual gathering hosted by the deacons of Wake Cross Roads to encourage and honor the women in our church who have experienced the loss of a spouse.
You are invited to The Harvest Table, a joyful and uplifting afternoon hosted by the deacons of Wake Cross Roads. Join us for a special luncheon and a time of creativity and fellowship as we create decorative clay pot scarecrows together. Each guest will be provided with all needed supplies, and the deacons will help you assemble your clay pot scarecrow to take home.
Whether you are part of our Naomi Group or simply looking for meaningful connection and encouragement, this afternoon is for you. We look forward to sharing a beautiful time of fellowship with you!
Transportation to and from the event is available if needed. Please select that option during registration. Registration closes the Thursday before the event.

And, of course, it wouldnβt be fall without our annual Chili Cook-Off! Break out your favorite recipe and cook up a big batch to share! Our deacons will judge entries and award a prize to the tastiest chili. Everyone in attendance can enjoy a delicious chili supper featuring all of the entries!
Come to eat, compete, or just enjoy a fun fall evening with us!
