Mission Trip: McDowell, Kentucky
Dec 13-17
Join us on a church-wide mission trip to McDowell, Kentucky, December 13-17! Save the date for an interest meeting to learn more about the trip on Sunday, November 8.
This trip is open to church members age 18+. Once you register to show your interest, an application will be emailed afterwards for you to apply to join the team.
What to expect on this mission trip:
- Assist with the Childrenβs Christmas Shopping Experience at GAP Ministries! Community children will get an opportunity to pick out Christmas gifts for their parents. We will assist the kids with picking out gifts and wrapping them while parents are treated to snacks as they wait. We will also share the story of Christmas through a special presentation to the kids and their parents.
- Distribute food, clothing, cleaning supplies, personal products, and household items to qualifying families through the distribution center. We will also serve a hot meal to families who visit.
- Visit the group home for special needs adults and sing Christmas carols with them.
Cost for the trip is estimated to be $100 per person. Food and lodging are included, except meals on the road.

Women of the Word Bible Study: Heaven
Mondays at 9:30AM Starting October 26
Heaven. Who goes there? Where is it? What will we do there?
Questions like these arise when we consider an eternal future beyond this physical life. How can we know the truth about what comes next?
In this 7-session video-based study, youβll explore the subject of Heaven from a biblical perspective. Through video lessons, we will help you separate whatβs true about Heaven from whatβs based on legend, media depictions, and hopeful guesses.
As you walk through the study, youβll not only gain a deeper understanding of what God has prepared for His children, but also learn how to live with confidence today as you look forward to the glorious unending that awaits.
Donβt just wonder about Heavenβembrace it with a faith that turns anticipation into excitement and peace.
Join Women of the Word weekly on Monday mornings starting October 26 at 9:30AM for this 7-week study.

Are you interested in learning more about WCR? Join us during the 9:45AM Bible Study hour to learn more about what we believe and the requirements for becoming a church member. This is a great time to get any questions answered and learn more about our church!
Attending this class is a requirement for joining Wake Cross Roads Baptist Church. Children may attend our wonderful WCR Kids program during class.
Family Paintball Day

Anyone ages 10 and up is invited to join us for an exciting day of paintball filled with teamwork, strategy, and friendly competition! Playing paintball is a great opportunity to have fun and make memories together.
Paintball is a team-based game that combines strategy and communication, as players work together to complete different objectives across a variety of arena-style maps. Getting shot with a paintball stings a little, but the feeling only lasts a few moments. Gotcha Paintball will provide all required equipment, including safety gear and paintball markers, so all you need to do is show up ready to play. Our church group will play privately, meaning we will only be playing with fellow WCR participants. Be sure to pack a picnic lunch so you can refuel between games. We plan to play for approximately 3 hours. Come ready for an unforgettable day of fun, laughter, and a little friendly competition!
Cost: $45 per person

Missions Banquet
Nov 22, 5pm
At WCR, our mission is for every follower of Jesus to be intentionally engaged in sharing the good newsβboth with our neighbors and with the nations.
Join us on Sunday, November 22 at 5PM for a special church-wide dinner, with a focus on missions and outreach. You'll hear a powerful message about reaching your neighbors and learn more about upcoming opportunities to GO and advance Godβs kingdom around the world.
Children & Students will eat dinner with their families, then will be dismissed to pack boxes for Operation Christmas Child! Nursery provided for ages 0-2 throughout the event.

We will need many volunteers to set up tables and chairs in the Worship Center immediately following 11AM worship that morning, and volunteers to tear down after the Missions Banquet that evening. If you are able, please make plans to help us set up and tear down for this special church-wide event!
