Please join us in praying for safe travels and for a meaningful weekend together. We’re asking God to use this time to help our students grow closer to one another—and most importantly, closer to Him. This retreat will focus on what it truly means to be a Christian leader. The world often defines leadership by power, wealth, or position, but Jesus showed us a very different example. In John 13:4, He demonstrated servant leadership by humbly washing His disciples’ feet. Our prayer is that our students will walk away with a deeper understanding of leading like Christ—with humility, love, and service. Since our students will be away this weekend for the winter retreat, **Student Connect will not meet this Sunday evening.** Any students who would still like to attend are welcome to join **Men’s or Women’s Ministry** instead. --- [![](https://churchusercontent.com/api/image-proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Fauth.churchspace.co%2Fstorage%2Fv1%2Fobject%2Fpublic%2Forganization-assets%2F26e1de5b-f22b-4cd2-997d-41192fd7bb4b%2FBible_Study_Class_Graphics_Presentation_2026-01-15T01-45-09-432Z.png)](https://wakecrossroads.churchcenter.com/groups/sunday-morning-bible-studies/essentials) ## New Bible Study: Essentials **Starting this Sunday at 9:45 AM in Room E212** This new class is for anyone who wants to lay a more solid foundation for their walk with Jesus. Whether you are a new believer or someone who would simply like to strengthen the foundation of your faith so you can grow even more, this group is for you. This 6-month class will begin by helping you understand the big picture of the Bible as a whole and how it all fits together to tell God’s one grand story of redemption. After that, the focus will turn to solidifying the essential practices and disciplines that every follower of Jesus needs to have in place to grow into spiritual maturity.
