Text version

Dear Church Family,

We were hoping that the "Dry Pocket" that had been holding out all day was going to continue. But obviously it didn't. The snow is now coming down hard and is supposed to continue for at least the next several hours. Because of that, we are cancelling all activities for tomorrow, February 1. We will send out a video tomorrow morning at 9:45AM of Pastor Randy sharing Joshua 3-4. Here are a few other reminders:

No Sunday Connect next Sunday night, February 8 - we are encouraging all who are willing to host intentional gatherings at their homes (whether you watch the Super Bowl or not). We talk about every follower of Jesus at WCR "Connecting with Each Other." This would be a great time to invite another church family or two over for fellowship and to get to know each other better. Invite someone you don't know as well. Then, you could also invite a neighbor, friend, or co-worker who doesn't know Jesus to come join you. This is a great low-key way to try to build a further relationship with someone who is lost as we try to Reach our neighbors with the Gospel. Pastor Brandon has written a brief guide for how you can be intentional with these gatherings, which you can view here.

Serve Sunday, February 15 - remember that we will not have our regular adult Bible study classes on Sunday morning, February 15. Instead, everyone will start in the sanctuary at 9:45am to hear from some of our ministry leaders about opportunities for service. Then everyone will be able to go to the gym to hear further information about those opportunities and to sign up in areas of interest.

Family Meeting rescheduled for Sunday evening, February 15 - We will now have our Family Meeting on Sunday evening, February 15, at 6pm.

We hope that two consecutive Sundays of not gathering will cause us all to long for gathering together on Sunday, February 8, to express our love for God and for one another as we worship Him together.
