Pray for our Students

Departing this afternoon
Our students are departing this afternoon for their winter retreat in Black Mountain, NC! Please join us in praying for safe travels and for a meaningful weekend together. We’re asking God to use this time to help our students grow closer to one anotherβ€”and most importantly, closer to Him.

This retreat will focus on what it truly means to be a Christian leader. The world often defines leadership by power, wealth, or position, but Jesus showed us a very different example. In John 13:4, He demonstrated servant leadership by humbly washing His disciples’ feet. Our prayer is that our students will walk away with a deeper understanding of leading like Christβ€”with humility, love, and service.

Since our students will be away this weekend for the winter retreat, Student Connect will not meet this Sunday evening. Any students who would still like to attend are welcome to join Men’s or Women’s Ministry instead.

New Bible Study: Essentials

Starting this Sunday at 9:45 AM in Room E212
This new class is for anyone who wants to lay a more solid foundation for their walk with Jesus. Whether you are a new believer or someone who would simply like to strengthen the foundation of your faith so you can grow even more, this group is for you. This 6-month class will begin by helping you understand the big picture of the Bible as a whole and how it all fits together to tell God’s one grand story of redemption. After that, the focus will turn to solidifying the essential practices and disciplines that every follower of Jesus needs to have in place to grow into spiritual maturity.

Parenting Milestones: Preschool Prep

January 25, 2026 at 9:45 AM

Parenting is a sacred calling, and each stage of a child’s life brings new joysβ€”and new challenges. Parenting Milestones is a new series of gatherings designed to encourage and equip parents as they guide their children through key transitions in their spiritual walk with the Lord.
Each session will focus on a specific age or stage. We'll explore practical strategies, offer biblical encouragement, and provide space for conversation, connection, and prayer with other parents in the same season.

Let’s walk this parenting road togetherβ€”one milestone at a time.
This session is tailored to parents of children ages 18 months to 3 years old.

Preschoolers are invited to attend WCR Kids during this parent info session.
